Forensic Workshop for Social Scientists

December 12, 2008
810 7th Street, NW
Washington, DC 20001

Social science research has contributed significant new understandings about the impact of DNA on criminal justice policies and practices.

NIJ invites social scientists to a one-day workshop to learn more about contributing to the burgeoning world of forensic research. The workshop will explore current and future research and evaluation projects, data sources and field experiments in social science as it relates to forensic science.

Topics will include:

  • Current research projects funded by NIJ
  • Ways social science and forensic science researchers can collaborate
  • Potential topics of investigation and sources of data

NIJ hopes the workshop will encourage further dialogue between NIJ and members of the social science and forensic science communities.

Only 60 spaces are available for the free session. Only two people may attend from the same institution.

To attend, please email Forensics.Workshop@usdoj.gov.
