   Dilbert really hits the nail on the head in this one. So often someone–usually a boss–thinks up something but expects someone else to write it up. It may seem like a compliment at first (”Wow, he must really think I’m a good writer!”) but the cost is almost always high in terms of time, and–sure as shootin’–a re-write will be required. Besides that, you can almost bet that the actual writer won’t get the by-line.
