“I extend my deepest regrets as we mourn the loss of one of our nation’s most revered women in the struggle for freedom and justice, civil rights icon, Rosa Parks. Her legacy will live in the hearts of many and her courageous stand against injustice will continue to inspire the work of millions. The impact of her gallant sacrifice helped to ignite the beginning of a movement that awakened our nation and shook the world. She will be missed terribly.”
