Duncan to Hold Viewing, Reception for Congressional Art Competition

Washington, D.C. - Congressman John J. Duncan, Jr., (R-Tenn.) has scheduled a public viewing and awards reception for entries in the 2005 Congressional Art Competition. 

 

High school students from throughout the Second District were invited to participate in the contest, and the Best in Show winner will have his or her artwork displayed in a Capitol corridor.

 

The viewing will take place at the Candy Factory in downtown Knoxville this Friday, May 20, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. 

 

On hand will be Congressman Duncan, contest judges, and representatives from the Knoxville Museum of Art, the event's cosponsor. 

 

The group will present each participant in attendance with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition and name the winning artist at approximately 4:30 p.m.
