Cong. Saxton Returns to D.C.; Questions DoD's F-22 Raptor Decision - WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Jim Saxton unexpectedly returned to Washington this week as the Speaker reconvened Congress for a rare lame duck session. Yesterday he and the House Armed Services Air and Land Forces Subcommittee held a hearing about a recent U.S. Air Force decision to limit the F-22 program in 2009.

Saxton Hails Vets @ Opening of C-141 Memorial @ McGuire AFB - MCGUIRE AFB. - In his final planned public appearance as Congressman, U.S. Rep. Jim Saxton today celebrated Veterans’ Day with over 300 veterans, airmen, service members and other officials at McGuire Air Force Base gathered to unveil a new monument to the venerable C-141 Starlifter, which was flown by McGuire crews for many years.

Congressman Saxton to Receive Award for Career of Bipartisanship: Joins Gov. Schwartzenegger, Rep. Harmon @ Panetta Institute - MONTERY BAY, CALIF. - Congressman Jim Saxton will be presented with the Leon Panetta Institute for Public Policy’s ninth annual Jefferson-Lincoln Award on Saturday at the Inn at Spanish Bay in Pebble Beach. California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, U.S. Representative Jane Harman (D-CA), and noted author and journalist, Ron Brownstein have also been selected to receive the 2008 Jefferson-Lincoln award.
