Bethany's Burns Chosen as Finalist for Professor of the Year

Each year the Faculty Merit Foundation of West Virginia honors an outstanding faculty member at a West Virginia college or university. Five finalists for the 2008 Professor of the Year honor have been chosen.

Early Discoveries Childcare Center Opens at Bethany College

Bethany College will hold a Grand Opening for its Early Discoveries Childcare Center at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4. The facility is located on the first floor of the newly-renovated Judith R. Hurl Education Center, which also serves as home to the College’s Education Department. The new Childcare Center will be able to accommodate children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.

Bethany Mourns Death of Former College President

The Bethany community is mourning the passing of former College President Todd H. Bullard, Ph.D. He died Thursday, Jan. 1 at the age of 77 in Charlottesville, Va.

Veteran CBS Correspondent Bob Orr '75 to Speak at Bethany

Award-winning broadcast journalist Bob Orr, Justice and Homeland Security correspondent for CBS News and a 1975 graduate of Bethany College, will return to the Bethany campus on Saturday, March 7, 2009 to deliver the Keynote Address for the College’s 25th annual Kalon Scholarship Luncheon.

Bethany College to Undergo Comprehensive Evaluation

Bethany College will undergo a comprehensive evaluation visit March 23-26, 2009, by a team representing The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Bethany College has been accredited by the Commission since 1926.
