Updated Medicare, Medicaid Primers Now Available
As the incoming Administration and Congress begin setting priorities for health legislation, the Kaiser Family Foundation has updated two primers that explain the role of Medicaid and Medicare in providing health coverage to more than 90 million Americans. The Foundation also has similar primers on the uninsured, health care costs, and how private insurance works.
 
 
Coming Up: December 9 Live Webcast -- Are Health Disparities Back on the National Agenda?
On Tuesday, December 9, at 1 p.m., ET, Kaiser will host a live, interactive webcast discussing what opportunities the new administration and Congress have to tackle issues of racial and ethnic disparities in health and health care. The panel of experts will examine what types of policies and initiatives could emerge over the next few years.

Issue Brief Examines Employers Interest In Medicare Private Fee-for-Service Plans
This brief examines the recent boom in Medicare Advantage enrollment attributable to employers contracting with private fee-for-service plans to serve their retirees. It assesses changes in regulation, statute and the marketplace that appear to be influencing employers' interest in these plans.
