Rice Scheduled to Testify Day After Bush Address to Nation

 

WASHINGTON, DC – In the wake of this week’s nationally televised speech by President Bush on his new Iraq policy, the House Committee on Foreign Affairs (HCFA) will hold its first full committee hearing on Iraq since April of last year.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is scheduled to testify. Congressman Bill Delahunt, a persistent advocate for vigorous Congressional oversight of the Bush administration’s Iraq policy will participate in the hearing. It will be carried live on C-Span starting at 2 pm on Thursday, January 11.
