Educating a New Generation of Scientists Our society’s ever-increasing reliance on science and technology requires that our students be prepared for the workplace, for participation in civic activities, and for lifelong learning. Our schools must produce students who can evaluate and debate complex issues rationally, and skilled workers who can think critically, ask the right questions, and solve problems. The National Science Resources Center's (NSRC) mission is to improve the learning and teaching of science and provides programs and services across the education continuum. It offers K-8 science curriculum, professional development for teachers, and works with school district leadership to create effective science education programs.
