Pass-Through Payments Oregon Administrative Rules - Child Support Rules
Military’s New Payment System Will Affect Child Support Payments The Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) will move to a new payment system. The new payment system, the Defense Information Management Human Resources System (DIMHRS) will mean a change in child support payments for the Army and Air Force from one payment per month to two payments per month. The conversion to DIMHRS will include voluntary allotments for child support and will replace MyPay, the current payment system. The Army will be converted in March 2009, affecting approximately 100,000 child support cases nationwide. No dates have been set yet for conversion by other branches of the armed services. Overall, it is anticipated that 1,825 Oregon Child Support Program cases will experience changes in the timing of payments based on the implementation of this new military system. For further information about DIMHRS go to www.dimhrs.mil. For information on how these changes may have affected a specific Oregon child support case, select the Case Information link on the left side of this page to check your current accounting records. Or you can contact your local child support office to speak with a child support caseworker to get more information. Publications
