Snowmobile Safety Instructor Certificate
A Snowmobile Safety Instructor Certificate authorizes an individual to teach children and adults about snowmobile safety.

How to Qualify/Apply
  1. Must have high school diploma or better.
  2. Must have experience operating snowmobiles.
  3. Must have a recommendation from a local snowmobile club or a member of the Oregon State Snowmobile Association.
  4. Complete a Snowmobile Safety Instructor Application form (Form 6616).
  5. Take a 50-question exam based on ORS 821.050-320, OAR 735-162 and "Snowmobile Safety and You" student manual. Must have 90% correct answers to pass. The exam can be taken at the DMV field office closest to applicant.
