Programs

Environmental and Occupational Epidemiology programs focus on the identification, intervention and prevention of occupational and environmental illnesses and injuries to Oregonians.

We conduct surveillance on reportable environmental illnesses and targeted occupational injuries and diseases, and provide information and education on preventive strategies about environmental health risks to the public and health providers. Our mission is to improve the safety and health status of all Oregonians.

What We're Doing

  • Implementing the Oregon Pesticide Poisoning Prevention Program as part of a nationwide effort through the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) to promote "safety and health at work for all people through research and prevention".
