National Highway Traffic Safety Administration – NHTSA (“Nitsa”) NHTSA is an arm of the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT). National Transportation Library - Charged with improving the availability of transportation-related information needed by Federal, state, and local decision-makers, the National Transportation Library's (NTL) mission is to increase timely access to the information that supports transportation policy, research, operations, and technology transfer activities. The NTL was established in 1998 through the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century and serves as a repository of materials from public, academic and private organizations.

AASHTO – American Association of State Highwayand Transportation Officials
AASHTO is a nonprofit, nonpartisan association representing highway and transportation departments in the 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS)/Highway Loss Data Institute (HLDI)
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety is an independent, nonprofit, scientific and educational organization dedicated to reducing the losses — deaths, injuries, and property damage — from crashes on the nation's highways.
 
The Highway Loss Data Institute's mission is to compute and publish insurance loss results by make and model. Both organizations are wholly supported by auto insurers. http://www.iihs.org
 
NationalCenterfor Bicycling and Walking
The National Center for Bicycling & Walking (NCBW) is the major program of the Bicycle Federation of America, Inc. (BFA), a national, nonprofit [501(c)(3)] corporation established in 1977. We also have an on-site coordinator in the Washington, D.C. office, and a team of other Organizations and Consultants who work with the PBIC on a variety of tasks. Center For Appropriate Transport (Cat) Eugene, OR - The CENTER FOR APPROPRIATE TRANSPORT (CAT) is a non-profit organization committed to community involvement in manufacturing, using, and advocating sustainable modes of transportation.
