The Office of Disease Prevention and Epidemiology is comprised of these programs:
Acute and Communicable Disease Prevention
Reduces illness and death from existing acute and communicable diseases and studies and works to contain the emergence of new diseases.
Center for Health Statistics (and Vital Records)
Ensures that all vital events are recorded and that health information vital statistics analyses are provided to the public and other entities.
Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention
Prevents the occurrence of new chronic diseases and reduces illness and death from existing chronic diseases. Working to promote healthy lifestyles for Oregonians.
