Due to concerns about the confidentiality of taxpayer information, the Department of Revenue does not use e-mail to exchange confidential tax information. Instead:

Representatives in the Department of Revenue's Tax Services Unit can answer questions about your Oregon taxes. We also have an interactive voice response system for getting information, ordering forms, and learning the status of your refund.
Here's how to use Tax Services:
First, double check your tax booklet (current year forms and instructions that most people receive in the mail are also available in many post offices, banks, and libraries from January–April). Many basic questions can be answered by reading the instruction book, including the back page, which is devoted exclusively to taxpayer assistance. Our website has helpful answers to our frequently asked questions.
If you can't find your answer in the instructions or on our website, call 503-378-4988 from the Salem area or outside Oregon, or from an Oregon prefix call 1-800-356-4222. You can reach us Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with the exception of Thursdays when we are unavailable from 9-11 a.m.
From April 1–April 15, Monday through Friday, you can reach us from 7:00 a.m–7:00 p.m, and on Saturday, April 12 from 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Our computerized voice response system has recorded information about many of your Oregon tax questions. The voice response system can give you refund information, help you order forms, and provide other important information.
If you still can´t find what you want press zero on your touchtone phone, and a public service representative will help you. Please keep in mind that the closer you wait to April 15 to call, the longer your wait time may be to speak with a representative.
