Washington, D.C. - U.S. Rep. Timothy V. Johnson today announced a $29,499 grant for operations and safety purposes for the Neoga Fire Protection District.
The grant is from the Department of Homeland Security’s Assistance to Firefighters Grant program.
“I’m happy we were able to help obtain this funding for Neoga,” Rep. Johnson said. “These grants have been invaluable in updating equipment and training for our first-responders throughout the 15th Congressional District. These folks are performing vital work in protecting us, our homes and property and they deserve the right tools to do the job.”
The Assistance to Firefighters Grant program is part of the Administration’s larger, coordinated effort to strengthen the nation’s overall level of preparedness for fire and emergency-related disasters.
