Purchasing Department Mission

The Mission of the AHA Purchasing Department is to provide procurement support to the AHA for quality products and services that meet customer needs and expectations, ensure responsible financial guidelines, and promote the integrity of the organization.

Supplier Diversity Initiative at AHA

The American Heart Association is committed to provide a business environment that values diversity among its supplier base with suppliers who consistently provide quality and timely services and products at competitive prices.  Requirements are for products and services that support the mission of the organization:   Building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

The Purchasing Department at the National Center maintains a database of current and potential suppliers and can assist in providing sourcing information to departments and facilitating the purchasing process.  The AHA is committed to involve minority and women-owned businesses in all purchasing opportunities.  The Purchasing Department is committed to assist in the identification of qualified diverse suppliers for opportunities and solicitations.  To be identified in the database for suppliers, complete and submit the Supplier Questionnaire below.
