All Nevada Assessors grant Governmental Services Tax exemptions for veterans with war time service, disabled veterans, surviving spouses and the blind. Exemptions may be used to reduce Vehicle Governmental Services Taxes or Property Taxes. All or part of a veterans exemption may be designated as a donation to Nevada veterans homes.

Assessors or other county offices in many rural areas offer vehicle registration services.
