A "Targeted" industry is one that is creating new jobs and therefore can help "target" or "focus" your job search.

The Targeted Industries area of the Navigator will guide you through several steps to help you identify growing industries and employers in Colorado.  To print these instructions using Internet Explorer, right click in this frame, then left click on "print."  To print these instructions using Netscape, left click in this frame, then go to "File/Print Frame."

Click on "Targeted Industries" in the left frame to get started.  Select Colorado if you want statewide data, or select an individual county.  Then click the "List Growth Industries" button.

The "List Growth Industries" button will return a list of industries for the area that you selected.  The industries that created the most new jobs (based on the most current industry data available) will be at the top of the list.  The industries creating the fewest new jobs (or losing jobs) will be at the bottom of the list.

Note that to the left of each industry, there is an "open book" icon.  To find employer names and addresses in the industry, click the open book icon.  PLEASE NOTE: Employer names can only be retrieved for counties. If you have chosen Colorado statewide, employer names will not be displayed.

Employment and Wages Data, the second item under "Industries," displays the ES-202 industry employment and wage data by county and Statewide.
