Norm Referenced Testing (NRT)

Termination of the Norm Reference Testing Program for School Year 2008-2009

Due to continuing revenue shortfalls, the State has eliminated the funding and suspended the requirements for administration of the Norm-Referenced Testing program for the 2008-2009 school year. The funding was withdrawn in Section 4(b) of Assembly Bill 2 of the 25th Special Legislative Session on December 8, 2008. Additionally, elimination of the test requirements and the associated appropriations have been submitted as part of the budget reductions required from the Department of Education for the upcoming biennium. The Nevada Department of Education will provide updates on the Norm Referenced Testing Program as they become available.
