  EDUCATION

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration's education mission is to support educational excellence. "We involve the educational community in our endeavors to inspire America's students, create learning opportunities, and enlighten inquisitive minds."

The Ames Education Division mission is to help implement the Agency's Education Program and to help advance the strategic interests of Ames Research Center. Our success comes from a dedicated and skilled workforce who

  • use unique programs, services and facilities, and strategic alliances and partnerships to carry out our missions
  • partner with non-profit organizations, industry and academia to advance our mission, and
  • work with the Center's scientific, engineering and management organizations to develop mission-based education materials, services and events.

The Ames Education Division serves the education community from K-12 to Community College to University, including students, teachers, parents and education professionals. We involve our educational customers through what we call "customer engagement." Our organization provides leadership and guidance to Ames management and the Ames community on NASA education policies and programs. We work cohesively with other NASA Field Installations to deliver one Education program.

"NASA is an investment in America's future," and America's future is our students. Our goal is to make a difference to the education of students. NASA is an influential institution whose very mission can excite and inspire students to acquire the necessary tools to become pioneers and innovators. The Ames Education Division intends to do its part to contribute to educational excellence for all.
