The statewide Healthy Kids help line refers callers to programs that offer free or low costs health care services, based on income.

The Special Kids Network links callers to a broad range of services for children with special health care needs. These include health care products, training, recreation and leisure, social services, counseling, support, advocacy, and therapy.

This help line serves individuals with disabilities as an information and referral help line to connect individuals with disabilities with accessible, inclusive recreational activities. By calling the Recreation and Leisure Line individuals can receive information and referrals on available activities and facilities that are accessible and inclusive.

The Lead Information Line offers personal help and written information to parents, physicians, contractors and homeowners about lead poisoning and its prevention and control.

This information and referral clearinghouse can provide information and resources about the condition and treatment of brain injuries, protection and advocacy services, local support groups, as well as links to other websites. Offers referrals to community and State resources in addition to the Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania.

Information about the many long term living services available in Pennsylvania to help adults of all ages with disabilities locate services to remain in their home and community. Connects caregivers and healthcare providers with resources that will help them to navigate the long term living system.

The adultBasic help line helps uninsured adults, who meet specific eligibility criteria, get basic health care coverage at an affordable cost.

Assuring quality of care and safety for nursing home residents is Department of Health Division of Nursing Care Facility's responsibility. For complaints regarding a Nursing Home/Long Term Living Facility call this toll-free hotline. Trained staff is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. for non emergency complaints. After hours staff can be reached by this number for emergency calls during non-business hours.

For complaints regarding a Personal Care Facility this hotline may be called. Trained staff is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. for non emergency complaints. After hours staff can be reached by this number for emergency calls during non-business hours.

Personal Care Homes

The Department of Health, Division of Acute and Ambulatory Care is responsible for the licensing and oversight of Pennsylvania's hospitals and ambulatory surgical facilities. For complaints regarding a hospital, ambulatory surgical facility or a portable x-ray unit, this hotline number may be called. Trained staff is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. for both emergency and non-emergency complaints. For emergency calls outside of these business hours call 1-800-254-5164.
