The Obama Inauguration Celebration at Lincoln Memorial

The inauguration celebrations kick off Sunday as NPR airs "We are One: The Obama Celebration at Lincoln Memorial." This live concert with coverage hosted by Lisa Simeone will feature musical performances from the brightest stars in the industry, including Beyonce, Bono, Josh Grobin, Stevie Wonder, and many others. Actors and notable Americans, including Martin Luther King III will provide historical readings in between performances. Live coverage begins this Sunday at 1 p.m. on KSTX 89.1 FM.

Inauguration Day 2009

It’s a day of celebrations, as NPR offers wall-to-wall coverage of President-elect Barack Obama’s historic inaugural events.  Special coverage kicks off at 4 a.m. on Morning Edition and continues throughout the day and into the night.  NPR News will cover the speeches, the ceremony, the festivities, and the reactions from locations around the nation and the world.  Listen to KSTX 89.1 FM for history in the making.
