CSREES Logo

We appreciate your interest in using our logo for your publication or Web site. The logo is an important identification element. Before downloading the logo file below, we ask that you review the following logo use guidelines. If you have any related questions, please contact us.

  • As often as possible, the logo should appear next to the name Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service. The recommended typeface is Helvetica Medium Italic, flush left and ragged right.

  • The integrity of the complete logo should be maintained in all uses. Additions and deletions to the logo are not permitted.

  • To maintain clear identification, the logo should always appear proportionally isolated from other elements, such as titles or graphic devices. It should not be obscured by intersecting lines, shadows, or screens, or reproduced against strongly patterned backgrounds that would tend to impair its recognition.

  • Whenever possible, the CSREES logo should be reproduced in two colors: green (PMS 354) and blue (PMS 287). If color cannot be used, the logo should be reproduced in black and white with the green indicated with 100 percent black and the blue shaded at 60 percent black. No other exceptions are allowed.

  • When it is used in conjunction with symbols of other public and private sector partners, the CSREES logo should have equal placement.

  • The logo should appear no smaller than .75 inch in width.

Finally, we would appreciate it if you would send us for our files a copy of the material showing our logo once it is completed. It can be sent to:

Communications Staff
CSREES, USDA
1400 Independence Ave., SW., Stop 2207
Washington, DC 20250-2207

The following logos should be suitable for most purposes. If an alternate version of the logo, in a different file type or size, is needed, please contact Stephanie Engle.

  • If the CSREES logo is needed by a designer or printer
    in a 4-color-process publication, use:
    CSREES logo CMYK.eps

  • If the CSREES logo is needed by a designer or printer
    in a spot-color publication, use:
    CSREES logo Spot Color.eps

  • If the CSREES logo is needed in a PowerPoint presentation,
or on a Web site, use:
    CSREES logo RGB.jpg

Note:
EPS files are vector images that can be enlarged to any size without losing clarity. JPEG files will become pixelated when enlarged. It is possible that recipients might not be able to "open" eps files. This is not a problem. Forward them on to the designer or printer, and they can be opened with typical design software applications (Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Quark, etc.).
