What is the President's Volunteer Service Award?
The President's Volunteer Service Award was created by the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation to honor "Americans who, by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspire others to engage in volunteer service."

Who is eligible for the award?
Individuals, families, or groups who volunteer for a certain number of hours over a 12 month period are eligible for an award. Individuals who have given at least 4,000 hours during their lifetime are eligible for the President's Call to Service Award.
How do I apply?
- Contact a Certifying Organization near you.
- Track your volunteer hours using the President's Award website.
- Your Certifying Organization will submit the paperwork for your award.
