The University of California
is governed by The Regents, a 26-member
board, as established under Article IX,
Section 9 of the California Constitution.
The Board of Regents appoints the President
of the University and the Officers of The
Regents: the General Counsel; the Treasurer;
the Secretary and Chief of Staff; and the
Chief Compliance and Audit Officer.
The current Chairman is Richard Blum and
the Vice Chairman is Russell Gould .
