REGARDING THE CONFERENCE REPORT ON THE PROTECT ACT:

“I applaud the House and Senate conferees for completing the Conference Report for S. 151. The PROTECT Act is a critically important package of tools that will comprehensively strengthen our ability to prevent, investigate, prosecute, and punish violent crimes committed against children. This crucial bill will help law enforcement to protect the safety and innocence of America’s children.

“I urge the House and Senate to pass this bipartisan effort to protect our nation’s children, and send a bill to the President before the upcoming recess.”
