Scheduling Change in Mochizuki, et al. V. United States
WASHINGTON, D.C. At the request of the plaintiffs in the Mochizuki v. United States case, the Court of Federal Claims has changed the date of the fairness hearing to January 7, 1998, at 2:00 EST. Last June, the Court approved a proposed settlement in the case, which deals with claims of Japanese Latin Americans who were interned during WWII. The hearing in January will determine the reasonableness, adequacy and fairness of the proposed settlement.
