219th Anniversary of the U.S. Marshals -
Today I congratulate the men and women of the
U.S. Marshals Service on the 219th anniversary of the founding of
our nation’s oldest federal law enforcement agency. September 18, 2008 - Remarks by U.S. Marshals Director John F. Clark at the Operation Orange Crush Press Conference - Thank you, Deputy Attorney General Filip. All of us appreciate your support and that of the Attorney General and the U.S. Department of Justice in making our homeland a safer place. Operation Orange Crush, led by the U.S. Marshals, represents an unprecedented law enforcement effort to combat violent crime concentrated on a single state over a specific period of time.
