Cleveland,
OH – Fugitive of the Week Reginald Garrett was apprehended this
afternoon at approximately 12:30 PM. Thanks to an anonymous tipster,
information was received on the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive
Taskforce hotline regarding the whereabouts of Garrett. The information was
relayed to the Cleveland Division of Police and officers from the Fifth
District Precinct immediately responded to a corner store at the
intersection of E129th Street and Shaw Avenue. Officers entered the store
and Garrett was taken into custody without incident. Consequently, a female
that was with Garrett was also taken into custody. Daliti Bush was wanted on
outstanding warrants stemming from Mentor, Ohio.
On Monday, September 22, 2008, Garrett was profiled on Channel 3 News in
Cleveland as the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force’s
Fugitive of the Week. Within a 24 hour time period Garrett was behind bars
facing the consequences of a felonious assault charge. Garrett was wanted on
three separate warrants from three different police departments. He was
wanted by the North Royalton Police on larceny charges and the Cuyahoga
County Sheriff’s Office for receiving stolen property, and by Cleveland
Police for felonious assault.
Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Angel Gonzalez states, “The Fugitive Of the Week
program is producing outstanding results and its success is a direct
reflection of the members of the Greater Cleveland community who care enough
to make their streets a safer place”.
