New Research presented at Innovations in Effective Compassion Conference
This section includes new FBCI-related research presented at the 2008 WHOFBCI national conference “Innovations in Effective Compassion.”
Since the inception of the FBCI in 2001, a number of innovations in governance have been implemented to ensure that FBCOs can better apply their unique strengths to federal, state, and local approaches to addressing human services needs. Through a nationwide Call for Papers on research and innovations related to the FBCI, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services solicited two sets of academic papers:
Research in both categories covers quantitative and qualitative aspects of the implementation and impact of activities associated with the FBCI. Papers range in scope from studies of major Federal programs that partner with FBCOs nationwide to in-depth evaluations of FBCOs engaging a single issue at the local level.
