Compassion Alaska is a unique program of Alaska’s Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (OFBCI).  The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families-Compassion Capital Fund (CCF).  Alaska’s OFBCI was one of ten organizations to receive a CCF-Demonstration Grant in 2006.  These funds are being used to provide capacity building tools and direct funding to grassroots, faith-based and community organizations across Alaska.
