FBCI Pilot Programs

Loan Guarantee Program for Multifamily Housing

To reduce the number of homeless veterans, VA is authorized to guarantee loans to faith-based and community organizations to develop multifamily transitional housing for homeless and formerly homeless veterans.   Currently, there are two projects underway in Chicago, IL (Catholic Charities) and San Diego, CA (Vietnam Veterans of San Diego).  For more information including eligibility, click here.

 

CHALENG “Restored Vision for Homeless Veterans” Program

VA’s Community Homeless Assessment, Local Education, and Networking Groups (CHALENG) has created a pilot entitled Restored Vision for Homeless Veterans to partner with faith-based and community organizations in order to improve vision for homeless veterans by providing them with eyewear. FBCI= VetSuccess Program

VA’s Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Service (VR&E) is partnering with faith-based and community organizations (FBCO) to provide service-connected disabled veterans opportunities to seek employment, career advancement, job mobility, family economic well-being, and greater financial security. FBCI=VETSUCCESS: Contracting Expenditures Information Sheet

FBCI=VETSUCCESS: Special Employer Incentive (SEI)

Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Service, Special Employer Incentive pilot goal is to increase the participation for all Faith Based and Non Profit Organizations who are able to provide employment positions for service connected disabled veterans facing extraordinary obstacles in obtaining employment.
