National Integrated Food Safety Initiative Post Award Management Workshop

USDA/CSREES is conducting post award management workshops throughout the agency. The National Integrated Food Safety Initiative Post-Award Management Workshop was held on June 5-6 at the Waterfront Center, 800 9th Street, SW, Washington, DC.

The meeting was a networking and scientific exchange to:

  • report results and accomplishments for NIFSI-funded grants;
  • improve understanding of the CSREES grants management process;
  • develop a rapport with CSREES national program staff and grants management staff;
  • learn more about meeting the requirements of congressional mandates for completion of projects in a timely manner, and the reporting tools associated with this process; and
  • improve the CSREES post-award management of competitive grants and the federal management of these awards.

The workshop agenda and abstracts with PowerPoint presentations are now available. For more information, contact Jodi P. Williams, program specialist, Food Science and Food Safety.

Other workshop contacts include Jan Singleton, national program leader, Food Safety, and D. Ramkishan Rao, national program leader, Food Science and Food Safety.
