In June 2008, the President of the United States issued a national directive aimed at enhancing the security of our nation through the use and application of biometrics. The National Defense Industrial Association is providing this open forum to discuss practical approaches for implementing this directive in light of policy development, existing and planned federal programs, commercial applications of biometrics to address mission critical business goals, enabling technologies, initiatives within the international community, and challenges to achieving true interoperability and information sharing.
