Submission information

All conference submissions must be made through our online system.

Abstracts are limited to a maximum of 300 words and should be in sentence/paragraph format. Biographical sketches also need to be in sentence/paragraph form and are limited to 100 words per author. (By virtue of submitting an abstract, the presenter grants NGWA the right to publish the accepted abstract.)

To submit your abstract, click on the specific “submit” link listed within the conference posting for which you are making a submission and follow the instructions, which are also briefly outlined below for your convenience. (Please note that each conference has a unique link.)

The online abstract submission process is composed of five steps, which must be entered in sequence: (1) choosing a topic, (2) entering the title, (3) adding author information, (4) uploading the abstract text, and (5) confirming the entry. You have the option of uploading your submission as an HTML document or you may cut and paste a Microsoft Word document into the system. Here are some additional tips (you may want to print these out or jot them down before you begin):

  • To begin submitting your abstract, click step 1 on the left side of the screen ("abstract control panel").
  • As you enter your information into the required fields, click "submit" on the bottom of each page.
  • After you complete each page, you will see that the steps on the left side of the screen will be underlined.
  • You may click on these links to go back to a page if you need to edit what you have already submitted.
  • Be sure to check your e-mail for log-in information (ID and password).
  • You may also find it helpful to write down your log-in ID and password, as well as print out a copy for your records.
  • You may log in and edit your submission between the time you first enter it and the submission deadline date. To do so, either use the link that was sent to you via e-mail or click here to view, resume, or modify an existing submission (log-in ID and password needed).

If you encounter technical difficulties while submitting your abstract, please contact technical support directly at 401 334.0220 between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET, Monday-Friday, or by submitting your request via technical support. Your may also use the "tech support" or "feedback" links in the online abstract submission system.
