1914 - Congress creates Cooperative Extension Service
1919 - Delegates from 32 county Farm Bureaus meet in Berkeley to establish the California Farm Bureau Federation, with a combined membership of 24,168; W.H. Walker of Willows elected first president; CFBF establishes offices in two rooms within Hilgard Hall, University of California
1920 - CFBF Law and Utilities Department and Farm Home Department created
1921 - CFBF Publicity Department created; Farm Bureau Monthly begins publication
1922 - A.C. Hardison of Santa Paula elected CFBF president; FB membership reaches 27,398; CFBF Organization Department created
1925 - Earle Houghton of Lindsay elected CFBF president
1927 - Adolph Ahlf of Colusa elected CFBF president
1929 - R.W. Blackburn of Thermal elected CFBF president
1931 - CFBF offices move to three rooms within Giannini Hall, University of California

1938 - R.W. Blackburn resigns CFBF presidency to become secretary-treasurer of American Farm Bureau Federation; CFBF vice president Ray B. Wiser of Gridley becomes president; CFBF offices move off-campus for the first time, to 2161 Allston Way in Berkeley
1943 - CFBF establishes partnership with State Fund to provide low-cost workers' compensation insurance

1981 - Henry J. Voss of Ceres elected CFBF president
