Wood sample kits are available to members of the INTERNATIONAL WOOD COLLECTORS SOCIETY (IWCS) through the IWCS. For membership and other information on this non-profit Society see the IWCS Web Page
The 36 sample IWCS kit is selected from over 70 species including
both North American native woods and several species native to other
areas of the world. The samples are standard IWCS size (1/2 x 3 x 6
inches) and are numbered to correspond to an identification sheet
included in the kit.
Eisenbrand Exotic Hardwoods also offers a kit containing 87 samples.
