Campground Host

The incumbent represents the Bureau of Reclamation as a Campground Host. Duties include patrolling campgrounds (Rimrock and Downstream) twice a day, recording camper/vehicle numbers, maintaining camper use records and helping to implement the 14 day stay limitation and 24 hour occupancy requirement. Abides by and oversees campground rules and regulations. Answers questions, provides information and assistance to visitors. Performs minor campground maintainance such as garbage pick up and checking and refilling toilet paper dispensers. Notifies Reclamation personnel or the County Sheriff regarding law violations, maintenance needs or safety issues. Maintains accurate personal records concerning mileage and hours of service performed. Collects data on accidents and completes appropriate forms. Volunteers do no receive a salary but some living expenses and mileage expenses are paid. Expenditures must be agreed upon by the host and Reclamation before incurring the expense. No subsistence will be paid.
