This focused two-day symposium will look back on thirty years of
discovery in the field of selenium biochemistry, and assess the current
knowledge and directions in the field.
Poster Session:
The deadline for abstract submission was October 31, 2003.
All are invited to attend the Poster Session and Reception on Thursday,
December 18, from 5:45 - 7:00 p.m.
Registration:
There is no cost for registration, but participants are required to register by
e-mail (selfw@nhlbi.nih.gov) to confirm their participation in the
symposium. Please include your name, degree, affiliation, and city/state.
Accommodations:
The Hyatt Regency Bethesda is offering a group rate of $150.00/night
for registered participants. Please contact the Hyatt Regency
at 301-657-1234, mentioning participation in the Selenium Biochemistry
meeting, to obtain the discounted room rate.
Program:
The final scientific program will include scientists who have
played a vital role in the early development of the field of selenium
biochemistry and young investigators now at the forefront.
An opening reception on Wednesday evening, December 17, will be
followed by two full days of scientific session, including a poster
session on Thursday evening.
