Information Services

Information Services (IS), led by Curt Pederson, Vice Provost for Information Services and CIO, provides coordination, vision, leadership, and advocacy for the effective application of information technologies to the instructional, research, and service missions of the university. IS provides the infrastructure enabling the OSU community to make maximum use of the appropriate information technology tools in their learning, teaching, research, outreach, administration, and support activities. IS provides cost-effective information technology resources supporting faculty, staff and students while they strive to reach their personal goals, as well as the goals of the University. Support is provided to classrooms, web services, computer labs, computing services, and network services (voice and data).

  • Administrative Services - Budgeting, financial reporting, accounting and personnel management
  • Enterprise Computing Services - Administrative and enterprise application computing: Banner, Blackboard, Data Warehouse, ONID and scanning. Provides enterprise level IT services to the regional universities of Oregon University System and to the System office.
  • Media Services - Provides media, web services and instructional technology to support learning, research, and administrative functions.
  • Network Services - Network infrastructure, Internet connectivity, phone services.
  • Technology Support Services - Community Network, OSU Computer Helpdesk, and Software Distribution
