Government Relations

The Government Relations Office represents Oregon State University with federal, state and local governments.

We seek to accomplish the University's goals by:

  • working across the entire university community – faculty, staff, students and alumni – to be as effective as possible with state and federal legislators, state and federal agencies, and with the general public in the political and public policy process
  • helping make state and federal legislators and other public officials aware of the value received from investments in higher education
  • assisting OSU's research, teaching, and public service efforts in  identifying and addressing the needs of Oregonians across the state
  • providing relevant information to the university about significant public policy issues facing higher education, including tracking state and federal legislation, addressing state and federal budget issues, and identifying and participating in emerging policy discussions.
