Moderator: Robert Masters, NGWA

In 2008, the largest settlement in the history of environmental litigation, $425 million, was paid out regarding MTBE contamination to settle a multidistrict litigation suit brought about by municipal water purveyors against "Big Oil." Abstracts are being sought on this MTBE multidistrict litigation settlement, water rights court cases, current cases in the courtroom regarding ground water, the use of water rights in controlling land development, Daubert challenges and the importance of peer review, environmental forensics, what the regulations say regarding pumping tests, and forced abandonment of domestic wells by municipalities.
