Second Level: After EAB is found, the entire county is quarantined. As with the township quarantine, any ash wood that could harbor living EAB may not be moved outside of the quarantined county without written permission from the Indiana DNR in the form of a compliance agreement. However, regulated ash items may be moved among the county’s townships where EAB was not identified. Third Level: Because of a federal quarantine managed by USDA APHIS PPQ, regulated ash wood may not be moved from Indiana to any other state. This directive is also in effect for all of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois.
