The AVP-Programs also serves as the statewide program leader for county-based Cooperative Extension programs and the director for the research and extension centers.

ANR’s four program leaders, three regional directors, associate director of the research and extension centers as well as the directors for the nine individual research and extension centers report to her. The AVP-Programs ensures that all of these units operate under appropriate statewide policies and guidelines. Included under the Assistant VP - Programs is Program Planning and Evaluation, Research and Extension Centers, Statewide Programs and Statewide Program Management and Operations.

The AVP-Programs advances Divisionwide program priorities through the deployment of resources and the application of criteria for advancement of academic personnel. She reports directly to the ANR vice president.
