The course covers the main issues regarding ecology, cultivation, processing, marketing, and consumption of pecans, walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, pistachios, and chestnuts.

The course also includes lectures covering up-to-date information on health benefits and nutrition facts of nut consumption.

The course will be taught in spring of every odd-numbered year by Dr. Lombardini in the Department of Horticultural Sciences at Texas A&M University.
