Core Programs and Services
Annual Meeting
Held each year in early spring and open to members only, the AAP Annual Meeting gives Heads of House and senior executives a substantive program and an opportunity to exchange ideas and meet with colleagues in an informal setting. During the Annual Meeting, the membership sets the Association's agenda, elects new officers and directors, and approves an operating budget for the coming year
Compensation Survey
This committee coordinates and supervises preparation of the AAP Survey of Compensation and Personnel Practices in the Publishing Industry. Published every year, the report is available and is designed to provide current and accurate information on prevailing compensation levels for representative management and professional positions in the book publishing industry.
Government Relations
The Washington Office is AAP's front line on matters pertaining to federal legislation and government policy. The Washington staff keeps the membership informed about developments on Capitol Hill and in the agencies of the Executive Branch, and serves as the industry's voice, communicating publishers views and concerns to members of Congress, government officials, and the media.
