NUTRIKIDS Menu Planning can be purchased for use in the district office and/or at school sites. Stand-alone site licenses are available for $295 each and include any integrated add-on modules originally purchased for the 'district office' copy. Districts using this option can exchange menus between the district office and school sites. Network site licenses (LAN only) are available for $295 each. This option allows multiple users (school sites and district offices) to add to and use the same ingredient and recipe database without the need to manually transfer information.

Note: The first license purchased or the 'first user' for a school district is known as the 'district office' copy. Any additional licenses are referred to as a 'site' copy or 'network' copy.

Production Site Lite for Production Records: Production Site Lite allows the Food Service Director to move the task of entering production quantities out to the school site where the managers, who know their own programs, can easily enter their projected and actual quantities and then print the production record. Because the software also controls the rights of the site user, directors have peace of mind knowing their ingredients, recipes and menus cannot be modified. Production Site Lite is an abbreviated version of the Production Record Module. It allows cafeteria sites to size recipes, enter production quantities, print production records and print a shopping list. It does not allow for the editing of ingredients, recipes, menus and production record formats.

MyTray/MyNutrition: MyTray is a module of the MyNutrikids.com website that can import school menus created in NUTRIKIDS Menu Planning. Parents, guardians, students and school personnel will have online access to these menus, make choices from the real menus offered in school and see a nutrient analysis of those meals. This program is also instrumental in communications regarding menus when highlighting health and wellness policies and recommended dietary allowances.

We offer toll-free technical and customer support of all NUTRIKIDS software by phone at 1-800-724-9853. This support for all NUTRIKIDS software is included in our software maintenance agreements which may be purchased annually.

USDA Recipes for Schools Included
Yes. Customers can access the recipes for modification and production records. The updated USDA Recipes for Child Nutrition Programs were entered as production recipes and linked to the nutrient analysis of the recipe (yield factor method) in the CN database. The first ingredient listed on the USDA recipe card is used in the recipes. Some recipes with variations are also available. Recipes can be printed in a landscape orientation with the ingredients to the left and the instructions reflecting the ingredients listed on the right.
Additional Databases Available
No.
How do you ensure users receive the latest update of the software?
We distribute information on the availability of updates to new CN databases through quarterly newsletters, website communication, and direct mail. We directly ship updates to customers who are current with Maintenance and Support
When the Child Nutrition database is updated, is there a cost to the school district to receive the updated database software?
If the system is already licensed, customers will receive CN database updates when they purchase the annual maintenance/updates. If an update to the CN database is released, it will be distributed within the next system release or at the time instructed by USDA to do so. The current CN database is automatically incorporated into all releases of our software. If a customer is scheduled to receive the next update as part of a free update (associated with the purchase of a new program) then there is no charge.
Is there a mechanism to look at information retrospectively, e.g. old recipes, menus served in the past, or to retrieve old documents?
We encourage customers to make and keep data backups prior to all updates. This can be installed into the reviewers NUTRIKIDS Menu Planning software if they have that version loaded on their computer.
