National Research Initiative: Improved Utilization of Wood and Wood Fiber
The National Research Initiative (NRI) was not reauthorized in the Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008 (Pub. L. 110-246; i.e., the 2008 Farm Bill). We encourage you to explore funding opportunities under the new Agriculture and Food Research Initiative (AFRI) competitive grants program at www.csrees.usda.gov/business/reporting/stakeholder/an_stakeholder_afri. As of FY 2005, this program area was supported through the NRI Biobased Products and Bioenergy Production Research (71.2).
