Sorghum Syrup (Summary)
Sorghum Syrup (Summary)
Sorghum
syrup is a natural sweetener made by processing juice squeezed
from the stalks of certain types of sorghum. Sweet sorghum is
ideally suited to the small, diversified farm, as the various
parts of the plant can be used for livestock or poultry feed,
and waste can be composted, in addition to the sorghum syrup
produced. This publication discusses some of the equipment and
facilities that can be used in sorghum syrup production, and
offers sources of additional information.
